In a yard of screened Top Soil it weighs approximately 1400-1800 Lbs. (depending on moisture content)
There is 27 Cubic Feet in a Cubic yard (9 square feet in a square yard) 3' x 3' x 3'
Approximately 35 to 40, 40 Lb. Bags = 1 yard of Top Soil
Approximately 17 to 20, 40 Lb. Bags = ½ Yard of Top Soil
At about 1" thick, 1- 40 Lb. Bag covers 6-7 Square Feet
In a pick-up truck with an 6-8' open box, it can carry approximately ½ Yard of Top Soil
