Chrysanthemums, commonly known as simply "mums," come in both an annual and perennial form. Annual chrysanthemums are a spring flower, generally blooming around Easter, while perennial mums, also known as "hardy mums" are a fall flower.

Hardy Chrysanthemums come in a wide variety of colors, and serve as splash of delectable color in the autumn months when most other flowers are dying down. They are capable of growing wide, in some cases the size of a small shrub, and provide a solid dome of beauty amidst the falling leaves.
