Perennials
What is a perennial? A perennial is a plant that lives for several years, growing back each season from the roots after dying down the previous. The ability of a perennial to grow back is, however, limited to its planting zone, so it is important to bear this in mind when planning your garden. The Garden Factory and its surrounding area are Zone 5 for example.
Because of their cyclical nature, perennial flowers give a garden yearly consistency. The term perennial is generally reserved for flowing, ornamental plants, and thus excludes things such as shrubs and grasses. While they tend to have more green to them than annuals, many perennials have their own color in the form of beautiful flowers, such as Bleeding Hearts, Black-eyed Susan, Daylilies, and Iris, and are more than capable of providing a unique sense of beauty within your garden.
Here at The Garden Factory, we grow thousands upon thousands of our own perennials, right here on the property in our own greenhouses, so we can be sure you get only the best.
