There is nothing like a fresh, ripe tomato right out of your own garden! Enjoy the many healthy benefits and delicious results of growing your own vegetables and herbs right at home. Don’t think you have the room? Many vegetables and herbs are just as happy living in a container as they are living in a garden bed! This is a listing of what you can generally find at The Garden Factory.

Vegetables are seasonable plants.  Not all vegetables are always available as we grow them ourselves in batches.  Please call ahead if you are interested in something particular to make sure we have it in stock.  Thank you.

Beefsteak (72 days)

Indeterminate. Very short internodes make this compact plant easy to manage in the garden.

10 to 14 oz. fruits retain uniform shoulder color and have consitent good taste.

Resistant to Verticillium, Fusarium Wilt Race 1 and Tobacco mosaic Virus.

 

Beefmaster (80 days)

Indeterminate. Ball Seeds’ largest Beefsteak type tomato.

Good flavor. 18 oz. fruits. Tolerant of cracking and peeling.

Resistant to Verticillium, Fusarium Wilt Race 1, Nematodes.

 



Better Boy (75 days)

Indeterminate. A very popular hybrid tomato. 16 oz fruit with high yields and excellent flavor.

Resistant to Verticillium, Fusarium Wilt Race 1, Nematodes.

Bush Champion (65 days)

Determinate. Definitely an all-around winner! Big, meaty fruit with mouthwatering taste are produced on extra-early, compact plants - what a great selection for large containers or small space gardens. The productive, widely adapted, 24-in. plants yield plenty of high-quality, 9 to 12-oz. tomatoes. Can be grown staked, but not essential.

Celebrity (72 days)

Determinate. Large, glossy, 8 oz fruit. Known for its disease resistance and yield. This hybrid is very popular and productive because of its multiple disease resistance and tolerance. This AAS Winner is mid-early and has a long picking period. The large, deep oblate fruit are smooth, firm, and red. Light green shoulders.

Resistant to Verticillium, Fusarium Wilt Race 1 & 2, Nematodes, Tobacco Mosaic Virus.

Early Girl (60 days)

Indeterminate. The earliest slicing variety. 4-6 oz fruits.

Resistant to Fusarium Wilt Race 1 & 2.



Heartland (80 days)

Indeterminate. Ideal for small space gardening. A dwarf, compact plant with 6 – 8 oz fruits.

Resistant to Verticillium, Fusarium Wilt Race 1 & 2, Alternaria Stem Canker, Gray Leaf Spot.

Healthkick (80 days)

Determinate. Juicy, plum shaped tomatoes with 50% more Lycopene than other tomatoes - a cancer fighting anti-oxidant. Produces high yields of 4 oz. fruits on 4 ½ foot plants.

Resistant to Verticillium, Fusarium Wilt Race 1, Alternaria Stem Canker, Gray Leaf Spot.



Heirloom Mix

A mix of Mr. Stripey, Brandywine, Yellow Brandywine, Cherokee Purple and Orange Oxheart.

Jet Star(72 days)

Indeterminate. High yields of globe shaped 6-8 oz. fruit. Big yields in second-early season. It is a tremendous producer of large, clean fruit, quite free of cracks and scars. Globe-shaped, with bright, attractive color inside and out and a very pleasant flavor. Sturdy, indeterminate vines grow vigorously, producing heavily on stakes or on the ground. Jet Star is a low acid tomator. If you wish to can Jet Star, please add lemon juice.



Lemon Boy (72 days)

Indeterminate. Bright yellow, glossy, 7 oz. fruits.

Resistant to Verticillium, Fusarium Wilt Race 1, Nematodes, Leaf Mold, Alternaria Stem Canker.

Red Cherry(68 days)

Indeterminate. 1 oz. fruits are produced on upright platns. Grow caged or staked, no pinching needed.

Patio Picnic(65 days)

Determinate. Great for containers and small space gardening. Grows 2 feet tall. Produces bunches of firm, round, red, 3 oz. tomatoes.

Supersonic (79 days)

Indeterminate.Produces heavy yields of large, meaty tomatoes of excellent quality. Fruit are deep oblate in shape, smooth and quite crack free. Use ground or stake culture for this indeterminate plant.

Resistant to Verticillium, Fusarium Wilt Race 1.



Roma Red(80 days)

Determinate. Here's the old standard pear-shaped variety for paste and juice. Large determinate plants spread out the harvest period but total yield is heavy. Roma has relatively high viscosity and soluble solids for thick, red sauce and firm texture for salads.

Resistant to Verticillium, Fusarium Wilt Race 1 & 2, Nematodes, Alternaria, Gray Leaf Spot, Root Knot Nematodes.

Supersweet 100 (65 days)

Indeterminate. Bears 100 or more 1 inch, sweet fruit in large, long clusters. Smaller then cherry tomatoes. This large, indeterminate plant yields an incredible number of the best tasting bite-sized cherry tomatoes! They're produced in clusters like grapes for the whole season and get high praise for their sweet flavor and high Vitamin C.



Red Grape (75 days)

Indeterminate. Produces long clusters of 20 or more bright red grape tomatoes. Firm, meaty and crack resistant.. Has excellent texture and a sweet taste.

Tolerant of Late Blight and Leaf Spot Virus.

Sugary (60 days)

Determinate. Super-sweet, juicy, 2 oz. tomatoes. Oval shaped, reddish pink, slightly pointed fruits.



Sugar Plum F1(67 days)

The sweetest grape tomato we know of. Sugar Plum has been rated the best tasting grape tomato in many taste tests. Its indeterminate plant set heavy yields of 1" grape-shaped fruit that have a rich red color. The firm fruit has a pleasing texture and its sweetness will generate repeat sales from your customers. The fruit form in long clusters, which allow for an easy harvest.

Sugar Snack(63 days)

Indeterminate. Bears higher yields of extra-sweet, 1-ox. cherry tomatoes than other varieties. The fruit holds well on vigorous plants that are best staked.

Big Chili (68 days)

Changes from green to red. Improved early Anahiem type hot pepper. Produces thick-walled, mildly flavored peppers, 8 - 10 inches.

Caribbean Red Hot(110 days)

Changes from green to red. Even hotter then Habenaro! Extre mely hot, wrinkled 1.5 by 1 inch fruit taper to a blunt point. 28 – 30 inch plants.



Cayenne Long Slim (70-75 days)

Changes from green to red. Thin walled, 6 by 0.5 inch fruit.

Garden Salsa (65 days)

Changes from dark green to red. Moderately hot and pungent fruit, 8-9 inches long 1 inch wide. Medium to thick-walled.

Resistant to Tobacco Mosaic Virus.



Habanero (95 days)

Changes from light green to orange. The second hottest pepper we carry. Thin-walled, 1 x 1.5 inch fruit that wrinkles at maturity.

Hungarian Yellow Wax (65 to 70 days)

Changes from bright yellow to red. Popularly known as Hot Banana. Early and productive. 5.5 inch long by 1.25 inch wide fruits. Medium to thick-walled.



Italian Roaster

Loads of long, thin green peppers per plant. The 8 inch fruit is about 1 inch wide and has thin walls. They will also turn red on the plant and can be harvested in this stage too.

Jalapeño (70 to 75 days)

Changes from green to red. Bears 3 inch by 1.5 inch peppers.



Seranno (85 days)

Changes form green to red. One of the top ten hottest peppers known. Peppers are 1.5 inches to 2 inches long.

Bell Boy (70 days)

Changes from green to red. Fruit is 4.5 inches long and 3.5 inches wide.

Resistant to Tobacco Mosaic Virus.

Chocolate Beauty (67-70 days)

Changes from green to brown. Sweet, non-pungent variety produces unique, deep brown fruit. 3.5 inches x 4.25 inches.

Resistant to Tobacco Mosaic Virus.



Purple Beauty (72 days)

This is a productive open-pollinated variety that produces an abundance of sweet, deep purple, 3" x 3" blocky fruit. Mature color is a deep red developing very late. Its unusual and bright color makes a nice addition for roadside sales and home garden production. It makes a color sensation in any salad!

Cubanelle (68 days)

Changes from green to red. Thin-walled, 6 inches by 2.5 inch pepper.



Giant Marconi (72 days)

Changes from green to red. High yield. Large, tapering 2-4 lobed fruits 8 inches long by 3 inches wide. Has a sweet, smokey flavor and can be used fresh or cooked. Withstands cold, wet and drought.

Lady Bell (71 days)

Changes from green to red. Rich green, three to four lobed peppers. 4 inches by 3.5 inches.

Resistant to Tobacco Mosaic Virus.



Pimento (73 days)

Changes from green to red. Good yields of sweet, thivk walled peppers. 3 inches by 3.5 inches.

Red Beauty (68 days)

Changes from green to red. An early, prolific pepper. Four lobed with thick walls. 4 inches by 3.5 inches.

Resistant to Tobacco Mosaic Virus.



Sun Bell (70 days)

Changes from yellow to red. Very sweet, four-lobed peppers grow 4 to 5 inches wide. Each weighs 4 to 6 oz.

Sweet Banana (65 days)

Turns from yellow to red. Also known as Sweet Hungarian. Medium to thick-walled peppers. 6 inches long by 1.5 inches wide.



Sweet Cherry(68 days)

Dark green to red. High yielding cherry perfect for pickling. Round, 1.25 inches. Fruit are extremely uniform and detach easily for picking.
