A moderate grower from 10 to 12 feet high and 8 to 10 feet wide at maturity. The buds are a shiny purple that open into a double, magenta cluster of flowers that are very fragrant. They bloom mid season, usually around late May. Makes a great accent to any garden. Can be used for screening, a specimen plant, border, or as a windbreak. Attracts butterflies and hummingbirds. It is disease resistant when planted in the sun. When in bloom, is has stunning color and considered one of the best in its class.
